Modules
Every module you switch on here adds a section to the portal's navigation, so guests only ever see what applies to them. A counter ("{n} of 6 active") tracks how many are on.
| Module | Unlocks | Nested settings, shown once the module is on |
|---|---|---|
| Extras | Booking services and add-ons — see Extras. Under the row, whether the module is on or off, a hint counts what guests can actually book in the selected scope — e.g. "2 products released for guests · 2 without image · 2 without description" — with a Manage products link to the product list; with none, it reads "No products released for guests yet — tick 'The product is available in the guest form' on a product to offer it." | — |
| Payments | Seeing open amounts and paying online. | — |
| Online check-in | The guest form and registration form before arrival — see Online check-in. | Opens on arrival day at (default 08:00) and Tourist-tax products — pick which products count as tourist tax; leave empty and every tourist-tax display disappears from the portal entirely. |
| Documents | Booking confirmations, invoices, and guest uploads — see Documents. | Max. upload size in MB per file. |
| Messages | Guests writing directly to reception — see Messages. | Reception e-mail (receives new messages — leave empty for no e-mail alert), Message email template (the reply mail; or leave empty for the built-in text), and Staff alert: new guest message — a global-only template for notifying your team about a new message; without one, staff are only alerted through the reception e-mail. |
| Loyalty programme | Points, tier, and rewards — see The Loyalty club tab. | — |
Texts
A tab per language you support. Each language's tab shows a status icon — Complete or Translation incomplete — and, if incomplete, the portal falls back to showing the default language's text for anything missing, so nothing ever appears blank to a guest.
| Field | Appears on |
|---|---|
| Welcome text | Overview |
| Response-time hint (e.g. "We usually reply within 24 hours") | Messages |
| Arrival info | Stay |
| Room info | Stay |
| Directions | Stay |
| Cancellation terms | Payments |

Global vs. per-property texts — the empty-field rule
Texts follow the same global/override rule as everything else on this page, with one exception worth remembering for three specific fields: the magic-link email template, the message email template, and the reception e-mail. For those three, clearing a property's field to empty is a deliberate choice — it means this property has no template / no reception e-mail, and it overrides the global value rather than falling back to it. Every other field (including all the texts above) treats an empty override as "not customised" and simply inherits the global value; the settings page shows the global text as a placeholder so you can see what a guest would see.
Live Preview
Live preview of the guest portal settings
A preview panel on the right updates as you edit — switch between the Overview and Login views to check both. It reflects your brand colour, fonts, corner radius, header style, uploaded images, active modules (as navigation entries), and login-method buttons, using placeholder sample data. If the portal is switched off, the preview shows the same notice page a guest would see instead.
Below about 900px width the preview moves below the settings form and stops floating, so the whole page still works on a smaller screen.
