Allotments
An allotment is a contract with an agency: you hold a set of rooms for a set of nights, the agency sells them, and whatever it does not sell comes back to you on an agreed cut-off date. Gurita models that contract directly — it holds the room-nights so nobody sells them by accident, tracks what the agency has actually sold, releases the rest automatically, and reports the revenue the contract produced.
This chapter covers the whole life of a contract: writing it, activating it, selling from it, adding a booking to it after the fact, watching its utilization, and letting it release.
Agencies themselves — commission, terms of payment, credits, self-service logins — are covered in Agencies. This chapter assumes the agency already exists.
Note: Allotments belong to the Agency Sales module (Premium). If the menu entry is missing, either the module is off or your role lacks the Allotments permission. See Active modules.
Who can access this: reading requires the Allotments (read) permission; writing requires Allotments (create/update/delete). Agency users with self-service access see a read-only view of their own contracts and nothing else.
