Data importer

- Choose the import type from the dropdown.
- Upload the file (keep it under ~9 MB).
- Click Import and review the result summary.
Little Hotelier imports come in two types — the bookings/reservations export (bookings and their guests) and the guests export (a flat customer list). Booking statuses map across automatically (confirmed, checked-in, checked-out, cancelled), guests are matched by name (then email) so the same person isn't duplicated, and the OTA channel is recorded as the booking source. Re-running the same file updates existing bookings (status and rooms) rather than creating duplicates. Note that Little Hotelier money figures are stored as a booking comment — revenue is not recalculated by Gurita.
Data imports products (shop and POS items) from an database export. It creates any missing product categories automatically, attaches the products to your first resort, and imports them as non-stock items priced in the local currency. Re-running is safe: existing products are matched by name and skipped, so nothing is duplicated.
Other supported exports work the same way: pick the type, upload, and run. The result summary lists how many records were imported, updated, skipped, or cancelled, plus any per-row errors (one bad row never stops the rest).
Warning: The Import: Reset Customers / Agencies / Bookings modules wipe existing records before an import. This is destructive and irreversible — only use them on a fresh system, and take a backup first.
Who can access this: Requires Administrator access (or the Settings/Bulk permissions). Visible when the Import module is active.
