Notification settings
Where: Settings → Notifications (/config/notifications)
Notifications are the automatic messages Gurita sends when something happens — a new booking, a payment, a guest form. This page controls each one centrally.
Notification settings
Notifications are grouped into sections: Bookings, Payments, Guest Forms, Reservations, and Other. Use the search box to find one quickly. Click a notification to open its editor, where you set:
- Enabled — whether it sends at all.
- Recipients — any of Booking contact, Customer, Agency, and Agent (the choices depend on the notification type).
- Template / content — pick a template or edit the subject, title, body, call-to-action, and alert banner directly.
- WhatsApp channel — when the WhatsApp module is active, enable a WhatsApp message alongside the email, with its own template name and language code. WhatsApp is available for a subset of notifications (new booking, new reservation, new offer, cancellation, date change, the payment reminders, and guest-form due).
The editor is organised into tabs — Style, Content, Call-to-action, Header, Footer, and (when supported) WhatsApp — so you can shape the subject and preheader, a title and subtitle, the body, an info badge, one or two action buttons, a banner image, and a coloured alert strip. Switch on Use new template to edit the built-in design instead of picking a saved template, and scope the notification to specific assets if needed.
The sections cover:
- Bookings — new booking, new direct booking, new offer, new reservation, cancelled, resolved, re-booked, and date changed.
- Payments — payment gets due, payment is due, payment received, and bank payment received.
- Guest Forms — guest form created, confirmed, resolved, and due (plus survey-form created and confirmed).
- Reservations — reservation due to be freed, reservation freed, and room blocked.
- Other — system messages such as the email-verification and send-invoice mails, whose recipients are fixed by where they're triggered.
The Branding button (top right) opens the shared email design — logo, colours, and alert presets — used across notifications. A stats bar shows how many notifications are enabled.
At the top of the page are a few global timing rules: how many days before a reservation is freed to notify, when reservations are automatically freed, whether to notify direct customers only, whether to combine recipients into one email, the payment-due lead time, and the minimum payment amount that triggers a reminder.
Note: These settings are the modern replacement for the per-event switches on the old Booking settings → Notifications tab. Configure notifications here.
Who can access this: Requires the Notification settings permission or Administrator access. The WhatsApp channel needs the WhatsApp module.
