Configuration and Tax
Configuration
Where: Settings → Configuration (/config)
Configuration is the advanced control panel. It's organised into tabs, each grouping related low-level settings. The first Settings tab is a raw list of every stored setting; the other tabs are friendlier, purpose-built forms.

| Settings | Every stored setting as a key/value list. Use the type dropdown (top right) to filter by group (booking, company, mail…). Each entry has a value type (text, number, on/off, date, list). Some entries show a lock icon — those are system-managed and read-only. |
| Backup | Lists database backups with their size and date. Download a backup to keep an off-site copy. |
| User | Which email templates are used for password-change and password-reset messages. |
| Agency | Agency list activation, agency number auto-numbering, agency credit handling, and whether agencies may edit their own profile. |
| Customer | Customer auto-numbering, guest-form handling, image compression, guest-form date fields, and print templates. Includes a privacy switch (highlighted in red) that controls whether guest-form privacy is ignored after confirmation. |
| Dive | Dive-log templates, which product categories appear on the dive overview, and dive-schedule print templates. |
| Language | Supported interface languages, guest-form languages, invoice languages, and the default / fallback language. |
| POS | Point-of-sale behaviour (receipt numbering, sorting, thermal printing, multi-currency, and more), POS tax rates, and shortcuts to POS Locations and Tables. Shown only when the POS module is active. |

Opening an entry in the raw Settings list shows its key, a type (text, password, number, on/off, date, or list/object), and the value in the matching editor, plus editable, visible, and deletable flags. Entries with a lock icon are system-managed and can't be changed. New custom entries can be added, but only do so on advice from support.
Warning: The raw Settings list changes system behaviour directly. Editing a value you don't recognise can break bookings, pricing, or email. Prefer the dedicated pages (Company, Booking settings, Mail) and only touch the raw list when support asks you to.
Tax
Where: Settings → Tax (/tax)
This page holds your single global tax rate applied across bookings.
Global tax settings
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Active | Turns the global tax on or off. |
| Title | The label shown on documents (e.g. "VAT 11%"). |
| Tax inclusive | On: prices already include tax. Off: tax is added on top. |
| Value | The rate, as a percentage. |
Click Save to apply. POS tax rates are separate and can have several bands — set those under Configuration → POS.
Who can access this: Requires the Settings permission (Tax also needs the Global tax permission) or Administrator access.
