Assets: your properties
An asset is one property your company operates. Gurita supports three kinds, each with its own module and menu entry:
| Asset type | What it is | Menu |
|---|---|---|
| Resort | A land-based hotel or dive resort with rooms | Master Data → Resorts |
| Liveaboard / Vessel | A dive boat with cabins and scheduled trips | Master Data → Vessels |
| Dive Center | A day-dive operation, often attached to a resort | Master Data → Dive Centers |
A company can run several assets at once. Which asset types you see depends on which modules are switched on under Settings → Active Modules (see Settings & Administration).
Resorts
Who can access this: Requires the Resorts permission (view, create, edit, or delete). Visible when the Resort module is active.
Open Master Data → Resorts to see your resorts as image cards. Each card shows the resort photo, name, a status dot, and quick buttons for room types, rooms, edit, and delete. Use the search box (top right) to filter, and Create to add a new resort.
Resort list as image cards
To create or edit a resort, open it (or click Create) and work through the tabs.
Overview tab
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The resort name shown everywhere. Required. |
| Status | Active, Planned, or Aborted. Only active resorts are sold normally; the dot on the card reflects this. |
| Internal ID | Your own reference code (optional). |
| Contact address for this resort. | |
| Street / Zip / City / Country | The postal address, used on documents and the guest-facing profile. |
| Check-in time / Check-out time | Default times applied to new bookings at this resort. |
| Allow departure = arrival date | Turn on to allow same-day (day-use) stays where guests leave on the day they arrive. |
| Available for agent booking | Lets agencies book this resort online. Disabled unless agency booking is enabled in booking settings. |
| Available for customer booking | Lets guests book this resort through your website/widget. |
| Available to OTA / Currency | Only shown with the OTA module. Publishes the resort to connected channels and sets the currency sent to them. |
Other tabs
- Images — set the Asset Logo, the Header Image, and a gallery of photos. Click a tile to pick from the media library (see Master Data — Commerce). These appear on the guest profile and booking widget.
- Features — free-form fact sheets grouped as Specification, Features, Diving, and Safety. Each is a list of label/value pairs shown to guests.
- Room Types and Rooms — the room types and rooms that belong to this resort, edited in place. See Rooms & cabins.
- Bookings — every booking for this resort, read-only, for a quick overview.
- Allowed Arrival/Departure — restrict which weekdays guests may check in or out. This is the same tool as Bookings → Allowed arrival/departure; see Bookings.
- Config — per-resort booking settings that override the company defaults (shown only when advanced asset configuration is enabled). See Settings & Administration.
Tip: You must Save a new resort before the Room Types, Rooms, Bookings, and Config tabs appear. Create the resort first, then add its rooms.
Liveaboards / Vessels
Who can access this: Requires the Vessels permission (view, create, edit, or delete). Visible when the Liveaboard module is active.
A vessel is a boat with decks, cabins (its rooms), and cabin types. Unlike a resort, a vessel is not booked by date range directly — guests book a cabin on a dated trip (see Itineraries, Schedules & Vessel Lists).
Open Master Data → Vessels for the vessel cards, then create or open one to edit.

Overview tab
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The vessel name. Required. |
| Internal ID | Your own reference code. |
| Status | Active, Planned, or Aborted. |
| Contact address for the vessel. | |
| Max number of pax on vessel | Caps the total guests across all cabins on any one trip. Set 0 to switch the cap off. |
| Min guests to confirm | The lowest guest count before a trip is considered viable. Set 0 to switch it off. |
| Available for agent booking / customer booking | As for resorts. |
The remaining tabs — Images, Features, Cabins, Cabin Types, Bookings, and Config — work the same as the resort tabs above, plus one extra: Decks.
Decks
A deck is a level of the boat (Main Deck, Upper Deck, and so on). Every cabin must be assigned to a deck, so create your decks before your cabins.
Open the Decks tab on the vessel to see the decks that belong to this boat. Click a deck to edit it, or use Add to attach one. Each deck is a small record with these fields:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The deck label shown on the cabin form and the guest profile (e.g. "Main Deck"). Required. |
| Vessel | The boat the deck belongs to. It is filled in for you when you work from the vessel's Decks tab, and stays locked to that boat. |
| Description (per language) | A Title and free Text for each of your languages, shown on the guest-facing profile. |
| Images | Optional photos of the deck, picked from the media library. |
You can also open the standalone Decks editor to manage every deck in one list, but adding them from inside the vessel keeps each deck tied to the right boat.

Note: A cabin's Deck field only lists decks that belong to the same vessel. If a deck is missing when you edit a cabin, add it on the vessel's Decks tab first.
Set up a vessel step by step
Build a boat once, in this order, and every schedule you create later will already have the right cabins:
- Create the vessel. Master Data → Vessels → Create. Fill in the Overview tab (at least the Name), set the Status to Planned while you work, and Save. The Cabins, Decks, Cabin Types, and Bookings tabs appear only after the first save.
- Add the decks. Open the Decks tab and add every level of the boat. Do this before the cabins, because each cabin must sit on a deck.
- Create the cabin types. Open the Cabin Types tab and add one type per cabin layout (a Twin, a Suite, and so on). The type sets the capacity — Min / Default / Max number of pax — that every cabin of that kind inherits. See Room & Cabin Types.
- Add the cabins. Open the Cabins tab and create each cabin, choosing its Deck, its Cabin Type, and its bed setup. See Creating a room or cabin.
- Finish the profile. Add the Asset Logo, Header Image, gallery Images, and the Features fact sheets (Specification, Features, Diving, Safety) so the vessel looks complete online. Set the Status to Active when you are ready to sell.
- Make it sellable. Create an itinerary and its trips, then attach a price. A trip cannot be booked until it has both.
Dive Centers
Who can access this: Requires the Dive Centers permission (view or edit). Visible when the Dive Center module is active.
Open Master Data → Dive Centers to manage day-dive operations. A dive center can be linked to one or more resorts so its guests and dives roll up correctly.
Overview tab
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The dive center name. Required. |
| Status | Active, Planned, or Aborted. |
| Internal ID / Email | Your reference code and contact address. |
| Resort | The resort(s) this dive center belongs to (shown when the Resort module is active). |
| Max number of pax | Daily guest cap. Set 0 to switch it off. |
| Address / Check-in time / Check-out time | Postal address and default times. |
| Available for agent / customer booking | As for resorts. |
The Images, Config, and Translation tabs (title and description per language) let you finish the guest-facing profile.
