Referral codes
A referral code is a short code you hand out — to a partner, an influencer, or a past guest — that guests quote when booking. Using it links the booking to the referrer and applies a Special (discount) tied to the code, for example a dive-shop partner code "DIVE10" worth 10% off, capped at a fixed number of uses.

How the caps work: Gurita keeps two running totals automatically — Used (the number of bookings that quoted the code) and the total discount amount granted. The code stops applying as soon as it falls outside its valid dates, reaches Max usage, or reaches Max revenue. Only the guest-paid (direct) part of a booking counts toward the amount, and if a booking that used the code is later cancelled, deleted, or rebooked, it drops off again — freeing up a use. Leave Code blank and Gurita generates a random one for you.
The code's own Booking tab shows how many times it's been used, the total amount granted, and links to each booking that used it. On a customer profile, the Referral from tab (when your company tracks referrers) lists bookings where that customer was recorded as the one who referred the guest.
