The kitchen display (POS Monitor) ​

The POS Monitor (/pos/monitor) is a kitchen and bar preparation display. Products flagged for preparation are sent from the counter (the "send to kitchen" action) and appear here as tickets to work through. It has two views — a Board for staff working the tickets and a full-screen Wall for a screen mounted in the kitchen — switched from the header.

How items get here. When you add a prepared product it starts as New on the receipt. Click the Send (cube) button in the receipt header to commit every New item to the board. Tickets then flow left to right through the stages: New → Committed → In Progress → Produced → In Delivery → Delivered (with Cancelled for pulled items). On each ticket:

  • The arrow advances it to the next stage.
  • The ✕ cancels it (only while it's New, Committed, or In Progress).
  • The quantity, product, receipt number, and time since it was sent are always shown.

The header ​

Along the top:

  • Board / Wall switches between the two views.
  • Group toggles whether items on the same receipt show as one ticket or separately.
  • Stages chooses which delivery stages are on screen — it opens on Committed, In Progress, Produced, and In Delivery.
  • Category is a multi-select filter by product category.
  • Refresh reloads on demand; the display also updates live on its own as items arrive and staff advance them.
  • A full-screen control and a clock + date round it off. Your choices — view, grouping, stages, categories, and sound — are remembered on this screen.

Ageing — spotting what's late ​

Each ticket carries a timer and changes colour as it waits, so the kitchen sees at a glance what's falling behind: a ticket looks normal at first, turns amber once it passes the warning time, and red once it passes the late time. By default that's 6 and 12 minutes; the two thresholds live in your POS settings and an administrator can adjust them.

The Wall view ​

Wall is meant for a screen mounted in the kitchen or at the pass. It goes full-screen automatically (hiding the app frame), shows the tickets large with a stage filter rail down the side, and adds a sound toggle: when it's on, the display beeps each time a new order arrives, so staff hear new work without watching the screen. Columns or stages with nothing to do show a check.

Who can access this: Requires the POS permission. Works together with the POS Display module, which drives the send-to-kitchen workflow.
