Availability & overbooking
Gurita works out availability from the bookings and blocks already in the system, and re-checks it at the moment you save. If a room or cabin was taken in the meantime, the save is refused with a clear message, for example "The requested room/cabin is not available" or "The minimum number of nights not reached."
Warning: In the very rare case where two staff confirm the same last room at the exact same instant, a double-booking can slip through. If two bookings look like they overlap, open the availability calendar to confirm, then move or rebook one of them.
Allowed arrival & departure dates
Some resorts only accept arrivals or departures on certain weekdays (for example, Saturday-to-Saturday stays). Manage these rules under Trip Dates → Allowed Arrival/Departure (/resort/dates).
Allowed arrival and departure rules
Each rule sets a validity period, the resort, and which weekdays are valid for arrival and for departure. To add or edit a rule, open it and tick the allowed days.
When a staff member books dates that break a rule (or fall below the minimum nights), Gurita warns them; only staff with both create and update permissions can override with the ignore checkbox during booking.
Who can access this: Requires the Bookings permission. Visible when the Resort module is active.
