Languages & currency
Gurita runs in more than one language and more than one currency at the same time — useful when your guests, agencies and staff don't all share the same ones.
- Your own interface language — pick it from the globe menu in the top bar (shown once your company has more than one language switched on) or from Profile → Settings. It only changes what you see, not anyone else's screen.
- Company languages — an administrator chooses which languages are switched on at all, which ones guest forms offer, which ones invoices can be printed in, and the default and fallback language, on the Language tab of Settings → Configuration. See Settings and administration.
- Currency — every price is stored in a currency. An administrator sets the company's default currency, any extra currencies a booking may display alongside it, the on-site currency, and the exchange rates between them, on the Currency tab of Settings → Booking settings. Note: Your own currency preference (in Profile → Settings) only changes which currency a price is shown in where more than one is available, such as in a product list — it never changes what a guest actually owes.
Supported interface languages
Gurita's interface, guest forms, and printed documents are translated into:

Your administrator decides which of these are switched on for the company; each user then picks their own from that set.
Note: A Filipino option (and a related "PH" variant) appears in some setups, but its translation is still in preparation — those screens show English for now.
Tip: Individual labels can be reworded per company on Settings → Translations — useful when your house says "bungalow" where Gurita says "room." See Translations.
Supported currencies
There is no fixed currency list — Gurita works with any standard three-letter (ISO 4217) currency code, so USD, EUR, IDR, PHP, FJD, and MVR are all equally at home. What you configure is:
- a default currency per company (the one reports and totals fall back to),
- any additional currencies bookings may display alongside it,
- an on-site currency for payments taken at the property.
Conversions use the exchange rates stored on the Currency tab of Settings → Booking settings: administrators maintain them there, and where the automatic rate feed is configured, rates are kept up to date from a currency-rate service. Prices always remember the currency they were entered in — conversion only happens for display and for totals shown in another currency.
