Booking widget
The booking widget is Gurita's online booking form for your own website: guests check availability, pick what they want and book, and the booking lands straight in Gurita.
How it works
Each widget has a short address, its slug, and lives at:
https://YOUR-DOMAIN/widget/<slug>Everything about the widget — what it sells, its design, currencies, colours and texts — is stored in Gurita, not on your website. Your site only embeds the address. So you can re-theme a widget or change what it offers without touching your website again.
Staff set widgets up under Master Data → Booking Widgets. See Booking widgets in the user guide.
Ways to put it on your site
- Embed snippet — paste the snippet Gurita generates into any website. See Embed the widget.
- WordPress plugin — on WordPress, the Gurita Booking plugin embeds the widget for you and allows your site automatically. See Gurita for WordPress.
In this chapter
- Embed the widget — the snippet, auto-height, language and testing.
- Allowed sites & troubleshooting — which websites may frame the widget and how to fix a blocked embed.
- Payment links & guest forms — linking guests to payment and pre-arrival pages from your own site or emails.
