Ask your property anything — connect Gurita to Claude and ChatGPT ​

"How full is next month's Raja Ampat trip, and who still owes money on it?" Until now, answering that meant opening the trip, the occupancy plan and a payment report, then putting the pieces together yourself. With Gurita's AI Assistant you type the question into Claude or ChatGPT and get the answer from your live data.

What it is ​

Gurita ships an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that AI assistants use to connect to business systems. Once you connect your Gurita system, the assistant can use a set of Gurita report tools to look things up and do the maths for you:

  • Revenue & finance: income per month, profit & loss, payment reports, open and overdue balances, bank cash flow.
  • Occupancy: daily occupancy, monthly and yearly roll-ups, capacity use, vessel targets and trip occupancy.
  • Sales: product and POS sales, top products, top guests, agencies, sales agents and booking conversion.
  • Trips & guest lists: find a departure by name, see how full it is and who is on board.
  • Dive operations: dive statistics over time.
  • Lookups: find a booking, check the balance on its invoice, look up a guest.

Ask the way you'd ask a colleague: "Compare the three March trips on Amira", "Which products sold best this month?", "How was our occupancy in August compared to last year?"

Safe by design ​

  • Read-only. The assistant can look and calculate. It can never create, change or delete anything in Gurita.
  • Your permissions, nothing more. The assistant signs in as a Gurita user and sees only what that user may see. A user limited to one resort or vessel gets answers for that asset only.
  • You decide what's open. Admins can switch off whole areas (for example customer profiles or finance) or single tools. The change applies to every connected assistant immediately.
  • Revocable at any time. Every connection shows up in the token list under Settings → AI Assistant (MCP). Revoke it there and that assistant is disconnected.

Anything the assistant reads becomes part of your conversation with the AI provider, so connect only the accounts and clients you trust. Switching off customer profiles is a good way to answer occupancy and sales questions without sharing personal data.

How to connect ​

  1. An administrator switches on AI Assistant (MCP) under Settings → Active Modules. It's part of the Premium plan.
  2. Copy your system's MCP address from Settings → AI Assistant (MCP).
  3. Claude: go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the address. ChatGPT: add it as a connector.
  4. Sign in with your Gurita email and password and click Sign in & allow.

That's it. Developer tools such as Claude Code and Cursor connect with an access token instead.
